Description:
DAOs started as direct democracies. However, concerns about tokenholder engagement and decision throughput (poor adaptation capacity) led to their evolution into representative democracies. Despite this shift, DAOs now face new challenges, including principal-agent problems, while low engagement and throughput remain persistent issues.
In this talk, Daniel will explore various organizational experiments emerging across the DAO ecosystem. He will discuss how we can triangulate between these experiments, traditional web2 corporations, and key theories from psychology, economics, and organizational science to map out better solutions for DAOs.
