The rise of numerous blockchains has increased the demand for data and asset transfers across these separate networks. Cross-chain bridges, particularly Layer-0 bridges like Stargate, play a crucial role in enabling interoperability. Stargate operates as a Lock-and-Unlock bridge facilitating transactions across various EVM-compatible blockchains and holds the highest Total Value Locked (TVL) in its category. Unlike prior studies focused on Layer-2 solutions, this research specifically explores Stargate, analyzing its transaction patterns and potential vulnerabilities across six blockchains: Ethereum, Polygon, Binance Smart Chain, Avalanche, Arbitrum, and Optimism.
