Biography

Matija's main research interests are in the field of machine learning and complex systems, with special emphasis on the statistical inference of influence in online social networks, which was part of his PhD research. Recently his interest include distributed ledger technologies as well, mainly because they provide previously unattainable transparency in analyzing these newly emerging and increasingly influential economic systems. He is also interested in information visualization and building interactive web applications, most recently in the field of computational biology and bioinformatics
