Biography

Alican Alaşık holds an MSc in Management Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, with a thesis titled "Exploring cryptoeconomics: Research landscape, characteristics and components from multi-perspectives, and decentralization in cryptoeconomics systems." He is a Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship holder and a PhD researcher in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies at the University of Zurich. He is interested in exploring and designing cryptoeconomic systems from an interdisciplinary perspective and in their theoretical macro-level impacts. His current research focuses on decentralized energy systems, exploring how cryptoeconomics can be leveraged to coordinate decentralized energy networks through incentive mechanisms while enabling decentralized governance.
